What IAAP Means to Me
by Amy Ross
I decided to join IAAP on my first visit as a guest of the Lafayette Chapter. I was impressed with the value that the members, other like minded professionals, put on professional development. They made me feel more than welcome and needed.
I have taken on many roles in my two years in the chapter. I have learned valuable project management and presentation skills. I have also learned a great deal about leadership and mediation from this chapter. It is not always easy, rarely is life ever easy, but it is always fun when we get together and learn and connect with each other.
My networking contacts have triple in the past two years and I have been able to help those around me with the skills I have developed and sharpened with IAAP. My membership has been worth the investment I have made in my own professional development.
